I'm really interested in that Magnum also marleyskater. If there's a mechanical sound (like if a glue joint failed...or is failing), I'd like to see it so that I can fix it. A Magnum sounding that bad with the characteristics you listed doesn't sound normal.

i want to first build a new box for it when jon gets money(its 30$ and hes one cheap mofo).it doesnt sound a like a metallic sound from what i can remember..its like..suttle distortion at all levels of play..i mean its hard to describe..its not the amps either cuz the jl is quality and my hifo aint bad..i think its the box....i have faith in the d2 and jon kinda lost his faith once he heard it...it didnt get that loud and it sounded like anus..but i will let you know when we build the new box...oh and i love the d2 anyway.it looks purrrty.before we got the sub i would always joke about jon fuc king his sub and when he got it and saw the pole vent i was like"so jon....it could maybe fit..""shutup tyler" ..."are you gonna have *** with your sub?" Ok. If it sounds like a mechanical sound (platic rattling, etc) after the new box, let me know please. Maybe it is the box...who knows. But after it's placed in a new enclosure - if it still makes noise or still sounds crappy, shoot me an email.

**** that does **** man. for me i can say that in 1.74cuft tuned to 29hz off the 35.1D that sucker is magical.
