Not all people view rappers like that. Some 16-20 year olds think thats how you should live your life. I agree with that. Tupac's life ended tragically too soon, just like Proof's. I've been a huge fan of his music since 1995 or so, but became more entranced in the entire mystique of his life and what he stood for after he was killed. I could go on for days about 2pac and his legacy but I'm sure nobody here wants to hear it.

People with advanced thought processes tend to see things more along the lines that I do as opposed to how Decipha views the world in which he lives.

Am I saying that Proof deserved to die? Absolutely not. I don't know him. I do not listen to his music (and I use that term very loosely) and I have no personal agenda against any of them.

What I am saying and will continue to stand by is that there shouldn't be any degree of surprise that this happened.

How did Proof live any kind of lifestyle where he had a higher chance of getting shot? Proof really didn't start anything bad in the rap community with any of his lyrics and songs. Some jealous fool probably thought it would be cool to shoot a rapper.

Just like someone thought it would be cool to shoot Martin Luther King or JFK. I'm not comparing Proof to anything great like them, but there's always some messed up fool out looking to kill people for no good reason. Probably what happened to Proof. I don't blame Proof's lifestyle for the death at all, there's too many fools in the world... and look at the crime rate in Detroit.... not really a good place anyways.

I cannot recall seeing anything on my local newscast about anyone trying to take out Steven Tyler as he exited his favorite nightclub.

The possible examples go on and on and on and on. It's nothing to do with black or white, fella. It's the manner in which they live their lives that rain trouble down on each step they take.

Is it more blacks than white living that lifestyle? Yeah, I reckon it is. Probably it is more of a culturally-related occurence than it has anything to do with race.

the thing is the examples you used, niehter of them would be caught in the hood. Proof was in his old hood when he was shot. When you grow up on the block there allwasy people who are gonna hate, and when you get big they hate even more. And yeah rappers do get shot for being rappers so the guy that shot him can say he killed him. Donno how it is in other cities, but in alot of westcoast cites people get killed for no reason. Like the bulldogs (fresno gang) to jumped in you have to kill somone. Also you said they way the dress will bring attention to them? If you dont dress a certain way you get jumped and robbed.

And that my e-acquantance [sp?] is why you should move, or others should start to realize that life is not conducted in a manner such as that. It is also the precise point Prowler is trying to get across. He portrayed himself as that type of person, and for such acts, I feel he was treated as such, and inturn killed. It really sucks, but, it is no suprise.

Prowler, I don't know what it is, whether it be maturity or the way we grew up, but I agree with about everything you said in this thread thus far.
