D block / new battery

Right now, I've got one run of 4awg wire running from my battery under the hood to my amp under driver seat. I plan on getting an amp to run my speakers (infinity references, getting germs when i get the $$). Now, should I put a d block when the wire comes into my cabin, then run one to the sub amp, and one to the speaker amp? Will that effect the amount of power each amp gets? Or should I just run another wire to my battery?

I might pick up a yellow top at costco, and put that under one of my seats / in the trunk. If that happened, I'd put it under drivers seat, use the same power / ground, and then run both amps to that battery.
