l7 is gonna get a bit louder, but the cvx is gonna get loud and sound better doing it. good choice but both would have worked for your application

i have heard both and liked both, allthough the cvx does bottom out a little bit easier. dont know why, i used kicker specs and gave it 125 rms more then its rating. but overall its a great woofer
