CVR vs. CVX?

Im runnin 4 12" CVRs right now, Im thinking about upgrading to 2 15" CVXs. Would this be a big diff if Im still only running 1500 RMS to them?

You realize that the 15s have less cone area, right?

Yes I realize this, but the CVX is a better woofer.

yes, better for more power, but your using the same powerr, and taking less cone area...keep what you have, unless you upgrade more power. Then, maybe step to 4 CVX 12's, but for now, IMHO, your better off where you are at.

i have head the cvx 15" in a ported box and man do they slam hard.

Less cone area and likely less efficient from a motor perspective for power handling purposes.

get like 3 krms and then get 4 12 cvxs

I went from 2 12 CVR's to 1 15 Q. With lass cone area and more than double power handling... its louder and play lower hands down.

Well heres the thing, I heard my boys 2 15" CVRs on 1000 RMS and they are hittin harder..in the same style car in a prefab box. I built my box, 6.5 cubes@ 33hz or so. I think I need to redo my box and tune higher and maybe upgrade to 4 12" CVXs.

if you keep the same amount of power i would stay with the cvrs...

or if you get 4 cvx 12s i would get 2 zx1000.1.....
