basically im in the looks for 2 DVC subs that can handle around 800RMS. i might be getting a cadence 1600 mono amp @ 1ohm, which suits 2 DVC subs great.

ive been reading on the stroker and EDK, both handle 1000RMS. opinions? or will either be bran shakingly as good as the other

oh, and where are some online retailers of strokers? all i find is reviews, i done a local search on their page but it didnt yeild anyhting im close enough to

edit: opppppsss i meant to say the A series. heh, quite a bit of difference here and id be getting a JBL 1200.1 for the A's. each dual 2 ohm sub wired at 4ohms, then bridged with each other for a 2ohm amp load

I believe the Stroker is more SPL (gets louder in the sence of not sounding as nice). And the ED 12K is a more of a SQ sub. But Im not saying the K cant reach those higer numbers though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

hey wes, im richies friend. im looking for 2 strokers or 2 A series ED 12s. we painted his box and bondo-d in the screw holes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif yea he still has them

the CV is an all out SPL sub, serious amounts of pressure but not much SQ at all
psstt..they were originally built as SQ drivers for theaters. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Yup. Its funny how far they've come from their original inteded purposes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

But most people haven't really heard them in sq type setups. They can sound very clean and accurate in the right enslosure. All you gotta do is build it right.

Of course if it were me, I'd thrown em in 5 cubes each, tuned about 44 hz, 2 kw per driver //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Yummay //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
