CV axle

Are you good with learning how to fix things yourself? They are cake to change. No special tools needed. You might get a few drops of ***** fluid when you pull the shaft.
Don't have nothing to get my car jacked up high enough. Would rather have it done professionally. My car has a manual transmission and ABS

boot looks fine. Jacked it up a little and looked at it. Shaft seems solid and shake it or anything. I did notice some fresh "stuff" on the control arm. Will post up a pic and see what you think

There's a snap ring inside there that holds the knuckles in place. It's possible that it slipped for a while, but it's back in place now. Doesn't mean that you don't need to replace the axle, just means it's not going to be apparent that it's bad, for the time being.
