Customize it OR leave it alone? pic

Made some door pods for my car, now i have a big blank spot on the bottom of my door panels where the "pocket" used to be.

The "flat" of the door pod is about 12" tall and 20" long

I was thinking of getting some 6" tall 1/4" thick letters to put there, painting them silver or something offset, there on ebay for like $2 a letter

QX4 specifically would be the word (Inifinity Qx4 is the car), on each side

letters would be faggy.mount the cross overs there.

you could also move those tweeters alittle more towards the front of the vehicle.

a guy here had something similar a little more speakers so the space was a little smaller but he got plexi and had it etched and back lit it with neon

Crossovers are staying in the back with the amp, just cause there already wired/beauty paneld etc

"pocket" wont be going back in, I never used it and it was just a dirt collector, it was also one big long piece along the door panel connected to the big oem grill cover, thats why i had to make the pods so long

THeres no wya I could have covvered the pods with the angles it has at the front of the door pod anyway, I had to put a seem on both sides with the carpet, which is unnoticeable with carpet. Noticeable with leather

It looks great though in person, its dark in the pics and I had to flash it. Looks **** good in person, and for my first set Ive ever done, I think they came out pretty good

And I first coverred them in the dark grey carpet i posted in the other thread, installed them, didnt like it, so I sucked it up and bought a yard of black for $10

it might be a quick job and vinyl/leather show flaws but i think it shoulda been done owell

He didn't have the neons in yet.. and he was gunna do a tweeter pod.. Eminence aren't my style but the build is nice

Ya that also came into it, I didnt wanna spend another 1/2 day sanding bondo, I got all the curves "smoothed" with no dips or highs. Im happy with how they came out. Just needed some opinions on the letters

I like the neon idea, but a bit to much for me, thanks for diggin that pic up. Wooden letters painted is probly what i will go with, its only 3 on each side, and I just dont like the big blank openning

Put the leather on, use heat to help stretch it.

I think if you do letters you should wrap the material around them or you should do the neon
