I received the sub stock and blown it had a burnt tinsle lead. I pulled the sub apart and removed te frame and mesh insert and painted the frame white and the insert Kat black. I also removed the stock done shaped dustcap and rear mtx logo because they where bolth damaged. The stock 4" voice coil was relplaced with a 4 layer flat wound aluminum coil on a stainless steal former. The single stock 9.25" spider was replaced with two tall roll linear medium stiffness spiders with dual hand sewn leads and 8 gauge direct lead wires. The stock surround and cone where used but was painted flat black with a 7" hand made carbon fiber dust cap. The sub is fresh new and is still extremely stiff I've had it in my jeep for a little over a week on a mb quart dsc1500.1 on 1500 rms and it just laughs at it but still gets stupid loud. Id say 1500-2000 rms daily for music would be just rite and should be fine on 2500 with the rite install and a person who knows what there doing. And would be good for burps of 3k plus
