I'm not dumping, but you asked. It is extremely overpriced. I'm not sure what he paid for stuff, so I'm not saying he didn't put money into it.

If you take away the monitor, you're looking at about a $300 rig + $100 for the monitor.(used of course)

nah, i think it just became fair game once he asked why there was no interest.

OP i just bought a laptop with slightly better specs than whats in that desktop and i only paid 649 brand new.

its kinda like if you were selling car audio on here. you cant go to best buy and pay 200 for a type r and expect to resell it on here for that. prices online and fair market value are sooo different from each other.

Tell him to sell it on ebay but in seperate components. He would probably get more money. And with out a stand alone PCIx16 card the price is way out of line.

I live 2 hours north of Milwaukee and could come down with cash but like I said in my first deleted post, $350 with monitor would be my offer. $250 w/out monitor and he may be able to sell the monitor on ebay for $100.

Yeah like i said, i don't know anything about this computer. He said he has the receipts and that he paid over a grand for all the parts and labor of putting it together. I know next to nothing about computers, all i said is i would post it around and try to sell it for him.

As far as how many times he jerked off on it...i don't know...i don't want to know...and why the hell do you want to know?

from what he told me, he has an online business and uses his laptop and has touched this thing like twice.

Garret i would run that offer by him, but he said he wouldn't accept anything less than $900 and to post it at $1000.

When he first told me the amount he wanted for it, I had to hold my tongue because i know how cheap computers come these days, and how fast they become obsolete.

Thank you for the feedback though, appreciated very much. I'll let him know, and see how he takes it.

And I'll also tell him to try and sell it all separately.

i think this may be a good ol' case of him not knowing, and whoever built it overcharging him because of it.
