See.... just talking crap. Can't give him facts.

"I think you are speaking in bad faith when you make these same accusations over, and over, and over, again, like another member here has done.

I have challenged you a dozen times or more to provide proof of the "twisting" and of the outright lying you have accused me of, but you refuse to back up your claims. It's a dishonest way for you to converse.

I'm going to ask you to be a "good faith" poster, and back up your accusations with proof, or stop making the accusations altogether. If you can't prove what you claim, you really shouldn't make the claim at all.

Disingenuous. There is no "we" about that phrase. Jimi made it up, and repeats it like a mantra instead of providing proofs of his claims, kind of like when you decided to call everyone a "cuck", when you really had no idea of the meaning.

I guess it could be said that we all call what you do the "Buck AI Paranoia Syndrome", but that would also be disningenuous.
Don't be disingenuous. Be qa good faith poster." - RobGMN

Honestly, RobGMN should have been gone long ago. He made it clear with his own words he was here to argue. Literally here to argue. He has told several members in the past if THEY didn't like it THEY could leave. It's akin to me walking into someone's house and telling a man's wife her spaghetti is piss poor and she needs to add other meat to the sauce or get out. Everything seems to be his way or no way. Greater than 85% of my interactions with him were responses to his bullying, smart comments, insinuations, condescension, or other conversations where he talks down to people.

He made a comment about the way something looked to people and I came back with it would look that way to a "closed minded idiot". I didn't call him an idiot but because it's a trigger word for him he claims I called him an idiot. I didn't. But he sees NO issue with calling everyone MAGATs. He knows damn well he is calling Trump supporters maggots. Of course he would claim he just made it plural. Horseshit. Like I said to him, he thinks we are all stupid.

Just because he and I can't interact doesn't mean he has stopped... He just posted this above.

"Not the first time around here that someone posted proof of their claim, but it turned out to prove the opposite.
Due diligence makes a difference.
Reading is fundamental.
And, but, and or, will get you pretty far." - RobGMN

Again, talking down to people. It doesn't matter what thread it is. If Rob is there, arguing will follow. He frustrates people into debates and responses and insults them. Then claims "I didn't do nuffin". I ask you again to read the political post when Rob hasn't been there for several days in a row. People could discuss politics and have different opinions without Rob judging everyone then telling us we are wrong anyway.
Exactly. I even went back and reread the articles (aka due diligence) thinking maybe I missed something and one of them provided proof or not even proof just the accusation that Thanksgiving Dinners weren't cheaper this year. Nope, apparently my fundamental reading skills are intact and all 3 articles CONFIRM that Thanksgiving Dinner was cheaper this year - no ifs, ands or buts.

Isn't it nice being indirectly called a dumbass because someone else thinks they are always right?

TBH, I wouldn't mind if I actually had a stupid attack and the PR article from Walmart actually said the cost of their Thanksgiving Dinner package was staying the same as last year or increasing or would no longer include x,y & z, etc. But all three articles specifically say Thanksgiving Dinners are cheaper this year - confirmed twice now.

Your opinion is in opposition to his so you will never be right even when you right because in his mind... you are right, leaning.

Precisely. Look at the Slapper/Rob/Me cost of Thanksgiving Dinner exchange. Rob specifically says the articles that Slapper provided actually disprove his point. All three articles prove his point, which is that Thanksgiving dinner is cheaper this year. Totally disingenuous. Additionally, he plays games with the language or tells us what we think, etc. I don't necessarily blame Rob specifically, this is pretty much how the left "debates" in general.
The article says the increased cost of turkey is being absorbed by the retailer, in order to increase the lagging sales of turkey. That doesn't mean turkey is cheaper, it means the profits have decreased. And now they knocked it down even further to unload all the turkey that no one bought.

If the price of oil goes up, but gas stations reduce their profit from $.02 a gallon to $.005 a gallon, that doesn't make oil (or the gas it is refined into) cheaper. The pump price may be cheaper, but then money is lost for the retailer. The ripple effect will ensue.

And the article specifically mentions that people are making the switch to ham or alternatives. Apparently doing so in enough quantity that turkey sales are lagging at Thanksgiving, and in enough quantity that retailers are seeing the numbers change. For the people who have switched, their dinner is actually more expensive this year than last year.
The very proof that Slapper provided to make his point shows that.3

"The Nov. 21 USDA report on retail activity found mixed results, with frozen turkeys priced slightly higher than last year and fresh turkeys priced slightly lower." - Politifact

I see, so when Slapper said "Thanksgiving Dinner is Cheaper," what you thought he meant was "The wholesale cost of Turkey is down?" Who was it that said "Reading is fundamental?"

The devil is in the details.

"While the wholesale price for fresh turkey is up from 2024, grocery stores are featuring Thanksgiving deals and attempting to draw consumer demand back to turkey, leading to lower retail prices for a holiday bird."

Retailers are taking the hit, in order to (hopefully) drive slacking turkey sales up.

"In recognition of changes in Thanksgiving dinner traditions, the Farm Bureau price survey also includes boneless ham, Russet potatoes and frozen green beans, in an expanded menu. Adding these foods to the classic Thanksgiving menu increases the overall cost by $21.91, to $77.09."

That's a 39% increase.
You can't even admit it. It doesn't matter what left wing lies you wish to believe. The consumer is paying less and I just proved it.

You really need to stop being a leftwing puppet and troll. **** up the facts! Next, you're going to say Newsom's 5% savings tax, to help support illegal immigrants, is a wonderful thing.
