Do you understand the amount of crime that is committed where the criminal is just given a slap on the wrist? The criminals know the justice system is soft on crime. If you ask me we should have made the point to show criminals it isn't worth it a long time ago. None of this first, second or third strike shit. Maximum punishment on the first violation. No early releases, full sentences must be served.

Crimes where violence is used willingly and knowingly against another, punishment, death.

If you're talking about the dude who threw the sandwich at CBP, that's assault under the law, and not only that, he wasn't just some guy, he was a DOJ official, which means you have a fed arresting another fed to make a point- that feds can't break the law either. Throwing food at someone is assault and has been. You can argue it's a weak arrest but DOJ and fed officials should be held to a higher standard than others. But I have a feeling you're going to ignore this point.
