Without you taking a class in phycology, I am not going to get into this with you. You wouldn't understand and would continue to argue what science has proven. Sorry, but it's what you do.
You think they explain in a psychology class why an unmarried person with kids is better than a married person with kids. O a marrie person with no kids is better than a married person with kids? Or any combination thereof?
I'd love to see the studies on that. Maybe when you get back, you can share them
No. FLDS do not like to be called Mormons and Mormons don't like to the FLDS to be compared to them. That is one reason why Mormons don't like to be called Mormons. That's because they are tired of uneducated people trying to put the in the same religion as the FLDS. It's like calling a Mormon and Catholic. Same goes with all the different forms of Catholics. They prefer to be recognized as their full name. However, their beliefs are more in line, with each other, than the FLDS and LDS Church.
This is not about what peopel "like to be called". Mormons are Mormons no matter what they "like to be called". Mormon fundamentalists practice polygamy still. So, Mormons practice polygamy.
Roman catholics practice cannibalism. Ergo, Catholics practice cannibalism.
I attended seminary for 4 years. However, that doesn't make me a specialist in all other religions. Just that one. I got to know other religions because I attended them and studied them to see which one I thought made the most since.
Why did you drop out? I dropped out because I knew in my heart that I could not devote myself to the faith when there are just far too many inconsistencies and hypocrisies, not only in the people, but within the entire structure of the religion.
I did answer that. I said Trump has a different belief than I do, and I would obviously follow him. As for laws that are puy in place around my religious beliefs? There are those laws. One is called abortion. Have you not been paying attention? If a law came out that I didn't like, I would deal with it. It's the law. It doesn't mean I have to practice that belief. I just have to practice the law.
Again, never asked about if you would follow someone of a different belief. Would you accept the laws dictated by someone's beliefs that are different from yours? What if our next president pushed a law through that required burqas to be worn by women because THEIR belief required it?
Would you be OK, or not?
It's a very valid question in the face of REAL laws that exist strictly due to specific tenets of a specific religion.
Blues laws were up to each state to pass judgement on.
I was unaware that state slaws are voted on and can just be removed by the SCOTUS at will.
Why is it still illegal in Hawaii to carry, if the SCOTUS should just "erase" laws that contradict the COTUS?
I didn't say it is being done for religious reasons. I mentioned it was a science thing. Did you know that building cities is one of the biggest forms of creating greenhouse gasses? What's next? Are they going to start turning into China and only allowing people to have on child for the purpose of "Saving the Planet." You can't tell me you fully believe that livestock is a threat to this planet.
I thought I said it sounded like science.
Earth is a huge biosphere. Breeding and raising livestock at the levels needed to feed us all goes FAR beyond the natural balance of what WOULD be here if it was just nature taking course.
Technically, ANY major imbalance is a threat. I dunno the numbers, but if it's the equivalent of say, a factory outputting harmful gasses, then it should be treated similarly, no?
Bingo, my brother. You are joining the republicans with our argument with the illegal immigrants. What is one of the first thing an immigrant tries to do when they gain citizenship? They try to make the US more like their country so they can always remember their roots. So, with us having to adapt to their way of life, will make our country more like theirs. What do you think will happen as the offsprings of these people start to run the country? They will start to take away the right we currently have. Do you think abolishing abortion is bad? These other countries hate abortion as well as gay rights. What do you think people line Ilhan Omar will do if they ran this country?
Just like when our forfathers came here from across the pond? They immediately tried to make it like their own country. The natives were forced to adapt to the colonizers' way of life, or die.
Your comment tells the exact story of what I thought: You are Ok with the country being run based ona set of beliefs, as long as they are consistent with YOUR beliefs.
Obviously YOUR beliefs are the "correct ones", and others' beliefs are NOT.
Got it.
Let me ask you something without you turning your answer into a question. Do you believe a ***** is human? I'm sure you will take this to Google to see if you can spin it to something question.
I believe a ***** is a human. I do not consider it a baby until it can self-sustain out of the womb. I also believe an 80 year old man who is catatonic and on life support is human.
I believe that either of these humans can be terminated at the discretion of other people as they are both on life support
Good to hear.
He was overthrown twice. So, the answer is "both."
Trump said he would be a dictator and implement executive orders to get our nation back on track. You know, just like Biden did in his first day in office. He signed a bunch of executive orders to eliminate all of Trump's border polices, when some he has sense reinstated. A little too late for that.
I don't recall Biden saying he would be a dictator.
And whether Trump would want to be a dictator for one day or for four years, the FACT that he stated he would be a dictator at ALL, tells you he should NEVER be in office in this country.
So, what laws did Trump make that made your life worse that it was?
Bumpstock ban, Muslim ban, revoke the LBP and the JSA, repealed the FPSW EO, defunded planned parenthood, signed bill to allow ISPs to sell my browsing history. Do you need more?
By the democrats refusing to comment on how they feel about this decision shows that they are not willing to speak against their leader. This shows they are afraid to show feelings that would go against their party leader.
You just said the Democrats were "OK with it". Now you say they are not commenting on it?
Which one is it?
If Trump made a decision and didn't give a reason, would you just sit back and wait until you heard a reason before you made a decision on whether you like it or not?
I'm not sure what you're digging for here. If a POTUS makes a decision I dislike, I don't really care his reason for the decision. A bad decision is a bad decision.
Now, I just answered all of your questions without spinning it into something else and answering with another question?
I just laughed out loud, seeing the question mark at the end of that. Ironic.
