Current events discussion

I gave you direct access to them. Given your limited intelligence, I'll explain to you that it's not possible to post more than 10,000 words, much less 10,000 LIES on a post here.
If you think the database file with the lies plus the explanation of why they are lies is somehow not real, it might explain why you think you know more than medical science about bone innervation, why you think mathematics got averages wrong, why you think you know definitions better than the OED, why you think electrical engineers are wrong about what "bridges" are in a circuit, and how they also are confused in thinking mono maps have only one output.

The things that you "know" without having ANY ability to prove seem limitless.
Not good enough RobGMN. You also claim all 31,000+ alleged lies are true that means you can list each one and provide the proof with them. You can't make a claim and not back it up RobGMN. You don't want to be a piece of shit communist hypocrite do you?

The differences are obvious and not the point. I am asking which situation you think makes a person "better" at analyzing things and reaching conclusions, and why. You brought up a living situation in reference to "narrow views", suggesting it somehow limits capabilities.
Which living situation makes a person more capable or better, is all I am asking you.
Without you taking a class in phycology, I am not going to get into this with you. You wouldn't understand and would continue to argue what science has proven. Sorry, but it's what you do.

Are Mormon fundamentalists Mormons, or not? Are Roman Catholics Catholics or not? How about Byzantine Catholics? Still Catholics? How about Protestants? Catholic or not?
Mormons are Christians, and generally follow Catholicism, but also Protestantism. How much time did you spend in seminary?
No. FLDS do not like to be called Mormons and Mormons don't like to the FLDS to be compared to them. That is one reason why Mormons don't like to be called Mormons. That's because they are tired of uneducated people trying to put the in the same religion as the FLDS. It's like calling a Mormon and Catholic. Same goes with all the different forms of Catholics. They prefer to be recognized as their full name. However, their beliefs are more in line, with each other, than the FLDS and LDS Church.

I attended seminary for 4 years. However, that doesn't make me a specialist in all other religions. Just that one. I got to know other religions because I attended them and studied them to see which one I thought made the most since.

I didn;lt ask if you would follow a president of a different religious belief. I asked if you would be OK with laws created around a religious belief that was contrary to your own.
I used such examples as women being forced to wear a burka even if they are Catholic, or people being denied the right to eat pork even if they practice no religion at all.
I did answer that. I said Trump has a different belief than I do, and I would obviously follow him. As for laws that are puy in place around my religious beliefs? There are those laws. One is called abortion. Have you not been paying attention? If a law came out that I didn't like, I would deal with it. It's the law. It doesn't mean I have to practice that belief. I just have to practice the law.

This is where you are incorrect. The courts have allowed PLENTY of laws that were based directly in a religious belief. A simple example was outlawing same-*** marriage because someone's religion didn't like it.
How about "Blue laws" that prevent sales of certain goods on Sunday? Yeah, those are very real, and still in practice: https://worldpopulationreview.com/state-rankings/blue-laws-by-state
Hmmm, why SUNDAY? With your religious background, I hope you can figure it out.
Laws against adultery existed because of what? RELIGION.

So, go ahead and play the 4th grade game. Tell me why it's OK to have those laws that are based on canons of Christianity. I'm all ears.
Blues laws were up to each state to pass judgement on. The courts did not just put those in place. They were voted on by the people. If they would have done to the US Supreme Court, then the laws would have been removed. Just like i mentioned before, a religious law has to be voted into place.

That sounds like a scientific thing. If it was the production of paper plates to eat the hamburgers from producing those gasses, would it be OK to expect some type of monetary balance?
Was it OK or bad to make companies that polluted the land clean up their mess?
Those cows are not around just because of natural process. They are being produced and farmed as a HUGE commodity. Welcome to the cost of doing business.
I didn't say it is being done for religious reasons. I mentioned it was a science thing. Did you know that building cities is one of the biggest forms of creating greenhouse gasses? What's next? Are they going to start turning into China and only allowing people to have on child for the purpose of "Saving the Planet." You can't tell me you fully believe that livestock is a threat to this planet.

Childish? Try visiting Communist China or 40 other where the practice of religion is outlawed.
We already HAVE laws that are directly based on the beliefs of Christians. To think it's not possible to have the script flipped is foolish, and that's exactly how sh*t happens.
For f*ck sake, they have made it illegal for a woman to do what she wants with her own body. So much for the 14th Amendment. Why do you think the 1st Amendment is safe?
Bingo, my brother. You are joining the republicans with our argument with the illegal immigrants. What is one of the first thing an immigrant tries to do when they gain citizenship? They try to make the US more like their country so they can always remember their roots. So, with us having to adapt to their way of life, will make our country more like theirs. What do you think will happen as the offsprings of these people start to run the country? They will start to take away the right we currently have. Do you think abolishing abortion is bad? These other countries hate abortion as well as gay rights. What do you think people line Ilhan Omar will do if they ran this country?

Let me ask you something without you turning your answer into a question. Do you believe a ***** is human? I'm sure you will take this to Google to see if you can spin it to something question.

I would be 10,000% against it, and I have already said I am against even the IDEA of it. Religion and government. Ne'er the twain shall meet.
Good to hear.
I thought they were more an authoritarian regime, and remember many years back hearing about much of the civil unrest due to their leadership. Was it Aristede who got overthrown or did the overthrow after the US had to step in and get them back to a voting democracy?
So are they a democracy now, or a regime?
You mention democrats here are going down the same road. Trump has basically said he would be a dictator if elected again. Does that mean the Democrats in Haiti do NOT want to be dictators?
He was overthrown twice. So, the answer is "both."

Trump said he would be a dictator and implement executive orders to get our nation back on track. You know, just like Biden did in his first day in office. He signed a bunch of executive orders to eliminate all of Trump's border polices, when some he has sense reinstated. A little too late for that.

So, what laws did Trump make that made your life worse that it was?

From what I read, this has to do with people who are declaring a legitimate reason of fear for emigrating, not for ones sneaking over the border. If he has not given a reason, then I'm not sure why you are asking me.
A logical look at it says that Gitmo is a secure and safe facility. Maybe it's a way of protecting them until their legitimacy is confirmed?
"you dems appear to be quite comfortable with that response" I'm not sure what this means.
Was a poll taken to check how the Dems feel about his response? if so, I'd be interested in it. That's a pretty narrow subject to spend time creating, distributing, and tabulating the results on. But I'm interested.
By the democrats refusing to comment on how they feel about this decision shows that they are not willing to speak against their leader. This shows they are afraid to show feelings that would go against their party leader.

If Trump made a decision and didn't give a reason, would you just sit back and wait until you heard a reason before you made a decision on whether you like it or not?

Now, I just answered all of your questions without spinning it into something else and answering with another question?

You know the biggest problem I have seen with Dems. They are party voters. They don't really listen to what the arguments are, on both sides. They just do what their party tells them to do.

I have had a number of dems that are against the *****+++ push, the immigrants, raising minimum wages so high, socialized health care, and a number of other dem pushed stuff. However, they will still vote to put these people in office. I don't get it! If the republicans were pushing for this stuff, I would jump ship and become a democrat.

Perhaps, and I am just spitballing here, that if Rob were single it would be at his fault for being such a narrow minded know-it-all. Does this sum it up?

I will say this. If you are someone who cannot admit when wrong, flip the script when wrong, will not allow a broader mindset that understands that people see things differently, believes their 50% is better than someone else 50%, and refuse to agree to disagree, then a long-term relationship will not be in their future. Also, if someone tell you your life experiences are wrong because they read somewhere that it was, that might shorten a relationship.

It's psychological warfare and most of America being brain dead. Even some of our smartest are brain dead, blind. The media convinced people for almost a decade now trump and republicans and maga are mostly terrorists and such, so they've fallen for the propaganda, like "oh, I can't be on the side of hate." It's all a mindfuck for all of us.

Eek:

Holy cow!

Well,
I'm going to be on vacation for a little over a week. I usually only get on my computer while working, so you may not see me in here until I get back on in the office on the 26th.

Don't strangle each other while I'm gone.

You have a list of every lie with the explanation of why it's a lie, but you are refusing to accept it unless I retype the list on this forum that has a 10,000 character limit per post?
So you're making a request that is impossible to meet, in order to not be proved wrong.

OK. Let's play that chili=dish game: Trump is a ******, and the only way you can prove he is not is to get him to handwrote a letter to me, and deliver it to my house in person.
Without that proof, then there is no denying he has ***** at least half a dozen women.

I don't need to back it up because it's on you to prove he is not, by getting me that letter.
I'll wait.

So what you are saying is you are unable to back up your claim and provide proof. I am sorry but I can't accept that. I will have to add this to the list of lies you have told.

You think they explain in a psychology class why an unmarried person with kids is better than a married person with kids. O a marrie person with no kids is better than a married person with kids? Or any combination thereof?
I'd love to see the studies on that. Maybe when you get back, you can share them

This is not about what peopel "like to be called". Mormons are Mormons no matter what they "like to be called". Mormon fundamentalists practice polygamy still. So, Mormons practice polygamy.
Roman catholics practice cannibalism. Ergo, Catholics practice cannibalism.
I attended seminary for 4 years. However, that doesn't make me a specialist in all other religions. Just that one. I got to know other religions because I attended them and studied them to see which one I thought made the most since.
Why did you drop out? I dropped out because I knew in my heart that I could not devote myself to the faith when there are just far too many inconsistencies and hypocrisies, not only in the people, but within the entire structure of the religion.
Again, never asked about if you would follow someone of a different belief. Would you accept the laws dictated by someone's beliefs that are different from yours? What if our next president pushed a law through that required burqas to be worn by women because THEIR belief required it?
Would you be OK, or not?
It's a very valid question in the face of REAL laws that exist strictly due to specific tenets of a specific religion.
Blues laws were up to each state to pass judgement on.
I was unaware that state slaws are voted on and can just be removed by the SCOTUS at will.
Why is it still illegal in Hawaii to carry, if the SCOTUS should just "erase" laws that contradict the COTUS?
I didn't say it is being done for religious reasons. I mentioned it was a science thing. Did you know that building cities is one of the biggest forms of creating greenhouse gasses? What's next? I thought I said it sounded like science.
Earth is a huge biosphere. Breeding and raising livestock at the levels needed to feed us all goes FAR beyond the natural balance of what WOULD be here if it was just nature taking course.
Technically, ANY major imbalance is a threat. I dunno the numbers, but if it's the equivalent of say, a factory outputting harmful gasses, then it should be treated similarly, no?

Just like when our forfathers came here from across the pond? They immediately tried to make it like their own country. The natives were forced to adapt to the colonizers' way of life, or die.
Your comment tells the exact story of what I thought: You are Ok with the country being run based ona set of beliefs, as long as they are consistent with YOUR beliefs.
Obviously YOUR beliefs are the "correct ones", and others' beliefs are NOT.
Got it.

Let me ask you something without you turning your answer into a question. Do you believe a ***** is human? I'm sure you will take this to Google to see if you can spin it to something question.
I believe a ***** is a human. I do not consider it a baby until it can self-sustain out of the womb. I also believe an 80 year old man who is catatonic and on life support is human.
I believe that either of these humans can be terminated at the discretion of other people as they are both on life support
Good to hear.

I don't recall Biden saying he would be a dictator.
And whether Trump would want to be a dictator for one day or for four years, the FACT that he stated he would be a dictator at ALL, tells you he should NEVER be in office in this country.
So, what laws did Trump make that made your life worse that it was?
Bumpstock ban, Muslim ban, revoke the LBP and the JSA, repealed the FPSW EO, defunded planned parenthood, signed bill to allow ISPs to sell my browsing history. Do you need more?
By the democrats refusing to comment on how they feel about this decision shows that they are not willing to speak against their leader. This shows they are afraid to show feelings that would go against their party leader.
You just said the Democrats were "OK with it". Now you say they are not commenting on it?
Which one is it?
If Trump made a decision and didn't give a reason, would you just sit back and wait until you heard a reason before you made a decision on whether you like it or not?
I'm not sure what you're digging for here. If a POTUS makes a decision I dislike, I don't really care his reason for the decision. A bad decision is a bad decision.
Now, I just answered all of your questions without spinning it into something else and answering with another question?
I just laughed out loud, seeing the question mark at the end of that. Ironic.

So what you are saying is you are unable to back up your claim and provide proof. I am sorry but I can't accept that. I will have to add this to the list of lies you have told.
Here, again, is the database. I am giving you direct access so you can see it all.
I am not retyping it all for you, and I am unable to read it to you. Maybe your caretaker can do that.
But stop denying that the list is right on your screen when you open what I am giving you.
Covering your eyes like a child doesn't make the world disappear.
