Cubic feet for hdc3 18

6 is recommended, but you can go from 5.5-7 from what I've seen and still sound good. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

ok, so as of now, my best of luck has been with the 5.5cu. ft box with an 8" Sonotube, tuned to 32hz (peaking at 38ish)

I just threw in my other 6.5cu. ft box tuned to 35hz, and it wasn't quite as loud, and so far I can't notice it hitting the lows any better because of the reduced output... also an 8" Sonotube...

It seems like my trunk space is maxed out, so the bigger box cancelled out potential output... sub up, port forward. This 5.5cu. ft box is treating every sub I put in it real well for some reason

i had mine in 6cf at 40hz and 6.5 at 35hz with a aq 2200d. in both boxes i peaked 11hz above tuning. the first box did a 148 at 51hz and the second box did a 146.2 at 46hz. i would probly do 6cubes at 36-38hz. i was more impressed with my hdc315a. the box was 4.5cf at 40hz and did a 146.8 at 46hz
