I have been searching and it seems if I go to cuba I can bring 100 cigars but they need to be bought in cuba. I cant buy them in mexico and bring them in that is clearly a no no. But the deal is mexico to cuba then back so I cant quite decipher the law on that. I will have proof of cuban travel and receipt of cuban purchase. I know just hiding them is the way to go but customs may have me flagged already from shenanigans in 2001(when tested the powder was legal, but barely) O well fuk it maybe I won't bother

They get taken away right away. Although, if you go on a Cruise, you can smuggle a shit load back... You put them in your pockets, walk by the check-in, or check in some stuff you get... put them in your bag, when you go to customs, lie. Fin.

you take the labels off of them, and save them somewhere.

they cant take them away, if they dont know what they are.

that's what i did when i went to Mexico, and brought back some cohibas.

Blah. It's not as big a deal as people think. I've brought back many boxes of Cuban cigars during my travels, just stick 'em in your suitcase and don't say a word about 'em. They don't care enough to pull out every bag with cigars in it if they see 'em on the x-rays. I also shipped back several hundred via FedEx. No one cares, dude, seriously. As mentioned above, if you wanna be ultra-safe pull the labels off, put them in a ziploc in another bag and call 'em local-rolled from wherever you were at.

I've done it many times, never once been stopped or questioned. The FedEx trip was hair-raising as I had several hundred of them, prolly 500 cigars total. Wasn't even a bit of a problem, they arrived without issue.

or like another guy said, on the cruise, put them in a bag, throw them off the boat and get them once you get done with all the other crap.

i have a nice little collection of random cigars. quite a few cubans

Easier just to buy them from a canadian website. Cuba can export to canada and canada can import it.

We can import from canada therefore we can get cuban cigars.
