It is legal to bring some back. I buy Monty's In Ireland every year to bring back. I think its a 2 box limit.

Ireland Does not have a trade imbargo as the US does. So all products sold in Cuba are avilable in Ireland. legally.

I work for the fed gov't and deal with this stuff---you cannot bring back one cigar from Cuba because of the trade embargo. If you lie and are caught with them (they have dogs now that can sniff for them) you could get a hefty fine. I have been to many countries where they are sold legally (pretty much any place outside the U.S) and they are really nothing to brag about in terms of taste in my opinion.
