Just wanted to let everyone know that I am selling my Crystal CMPx2 15" Subwoofer. It is a dual 2 ohm driver. Price is 285 + Shipping costs (I am estimating like $30-40 bucks because this thing is heavy). I will accept paypal and money orders. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN TRADES. It is indeed a dual 2 ohm driver. Make me an offer and we'll begin negotiations.

on their site it says dual 4 ohm but thas the newer model. also it can take 1600 rms right? how would 1100 watts sound on it? oh ya and how heavy is it?

Yes, the dual 4 ohm is the new COMPx2, mine is the CMPx2 dual 2 ohm. It will take 1600 watts RMS and then some. This woofer would perform nicely with 1100 watts, but if it were me, I would bring more to the table than that. The woofer itself weighs right around 50 lbs.

WHOA man!!! I didn't say 1100 watts WOULD NOT work. I just stated that eventually you will want a little more than that. The woofer would operate nicely off of 1100 watts, after all I used to run it with a Hifonics Brutus 1500D (which most folks know is overrated, so I was really only pushing around 1200 watts to it) and it absolutely wanged. I hope that you will rethink this so we can do business.

Yeah, that was a little more of an extreme response than I had expected. If someone would paypal me $265 bucks, I would box this thing up and ship it out pronto.

Enclosure efficiency > j00.

You don't need to send a driver its full RMS rating to reach maximum excursion.

Exactly, the only reason I was using more power is because I periodically go to competitions and anyone that understands what it takes to win comps knows that you need mo' powa'.
