I know many of us hate paying retail prices, myself included, but when i do pay retail i usually turn to crutchfield. At the risk of being flamed on this, i ordered a set of kick panels for my CDT EF51neo's from them. That was yesterday and they were next day aired to me thru UPS and they arrived at my local terminal today so i'll get them tomorrow. Anytime i pick up the phone and call them, they are knowledgable, courtious, and friendly. So if you're looking for a good company to order from, try them.

I agree wholeheartedly, bones.

I've bought several things from them through the years and they never fail to impress me with their level of customer service.

Yeah, paying retail is less-than-wonderful but the little extras you can't get anywhere else make up the difference easily to me.

Free MasterSheets. Free shipping for orders over a certain $$ amount. Free install accessories (wiring harness adapters, speaker plug adapters, free dashkits, etc etc etc.)

And should you ever have to return something for warranty service the turnaround is pretty freggin quick. I had a KDC-X569 deck start giving a TOC Error no matter what CD you tried. Called up Crutchfield - they checked the original invoice date to see if it was still under warranty, gave me a return authorization and faxed me a shipping label so I didn't even have to pay to send it to them.....had it back in under two weeks working like a champ!

Tough to beat that 30-day, No Questions Asked returns policy, too.

Edit: ALSOOOO......I ordered my new XXV-01D on the 23rd of Dec....an extra $9 on top of otherwise free shipping had it in my hot little hands the morning of the 24rth. Woot!!!

they are like the best buy of internet. excellent service but they do charge retail. me, personally i'm asian (cheap) so i prefer fry's electronics and i deal with their shitty *** service.

I don't know that I would go that far......
I've been in Best Buy more than a couple of times that the employees had no clue as to a suitable answer to the questions I was asking. I've NEVER called Crutchfield for tech help and had to deal with a less-than-knowledgeable person. There's considerably more on-the-job training happening at Crutchfield.

Their Crutchfield Advisor is very good also. My friend with the grand cherokee needed an line level converter and BB had the install edge one and we asked this guy there about it because it said 2-60 watts. So we say that he has the RF package that they sell and will it work because it say 2-60 watts, he then looks at the back of the package (package doesnt say anything about the product) mumbles something and walks away....

well with my experience with best buy, they have great customer service. i guess i actually had an in depth talk about technical issues with best buy, but whenever i had a question, i asked them and they answered to my satisfaction. fry's on the other hand have shitty service all around. their employees don't know much but hey their shiet is cheap.

The sales at Crutchfield can be pretty sweet sometimes. Their Alpine sale before the new models come out is always good. I bought two sets of Type X comps for $150/set. The customer service is second to none, that includes brick & mortar stores too.
