I was wondering how many of you all read the reviews on this web sight?? Since my intrest in car audio has peaked, I have found that sight to be very helpful. It is nice to see what others have to say about some good equipment. Several reviews come to mind here. Alpine type R subs are off the chart, E's too. A few of the Alpine head units, Kenwood Excelons, and Pioneer Premiers get near 5 star ratings. Obviously crutchfield doesn't have all the stuff you see around here, but this is a great place for the newbie to go to and see what others have to say about some equipment they are thinking about buying. So go ahead and look around, kick the tires, and bring you info to this forum and see where it all fits in. Thanks all. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I have noticed that some pretty average stuff gets good reviews there but most of the people that buy their stuff are replacing factory audio components. The thing I love about Crutchfield is their customer service. They are excellent when it comes to shipping and following up with your purchases. I have never had a hassle from them and will be buying my next headunit from them too.

Crutchfield CS is excellent. I've purchased several items from them over the past few years and they've always been really helpful. On CS rep gave me free shipping on an item just becuase I asked! Not bad. Plus thay have a 30 day no questions asked return shipping policy on all their products. They mail out a free return shipping label with every purchase in case you don't like it you can send it back at THEIR expense, not yours!!

Comprared to the other internet places (Sounddomian included) IME Crutch stand's hand and shoulders above the rest. They also reward their customers with the refer-a-friend incentive program. I ended up getting a MB Quart amp from them for $165 after $80 in credits.

Another site that was really good too is Cartoys.com.

You can usually tell if the review is worthwhile or not, but I have found alot of them not to be. For example, one guy gave a kenwood h/u 3 stars because the buttons appeared pink instead of red like it showed in the picture....A subwoofer review claimed that it hit so hard his rearview mirror shook....well so do my door speakers, guess I don't need a sub then? Some good info can be found there, just try to figure out if the people have any idea what they are talking about first.
