Basically I found out I had a kid 2 years after she was born. Mother didn't like the fact I showed up two years later. I felt bad and spent about $1000 on stuff for her, but then she took the kid and fled to North Carolina with her fiance. She ends up back in Michigan, well clearly I'm not wanted, and her fiance has basically been the kid's dad since she was born, so in the best interest of the kid and myself, I signed away any parental rights to the kid, since they will never let me be a part of her life and they are basically a family. Also this spared me from telling my parents I had a kid.

You could sue. That is the American way.

She could also sue me for 4 years of backed child support, another reason I signed away the rights and chose to leave it alone.
