You people are crazy. To the tens of thousands of people sending us love right now, right back at ya. The last two weeks have been overwhelming and with so many people requesting old shirts and for us to stick around just a bit longer, fine. You get one more week. As of Feb 16th, 2009...we will have descended into the pits of where we originally came from. Use your time wisely ; )

No, they are hiring here. I will probably be promoted before the end of the year. I just can't conceieve how 3 million people can lose their job and it not effect federal jobs.

There are tradeoffs to everything. I can remember when everyday we would check our investments with great joy as they grew like crazy. During that time I foolishly felt sorry for my father, who was a retired federal employee. Poor guy, all he had was 70% of his pre-retirement income.

Well, as I came to realize, on that and most other things, old dad isn't so dam stupid after all.

You may make less, but you have the advantage of security. It's at this time you should be thankful for being well positioned to ride this out.

Something doesn't pass the smell test though. Maybe i'm half jew or something (stole that line right out of gran torino, by thee way) but if im making money hand over fist i'm not going to shut down my site over a few emails and some lost sleep.

I cant imagine theres not some pleb there that could manage the company for him. The obvious answer would be to sell it if nothing else. Even if there's not a decent back end to the business theres still a name worth a lot of money. This guy says he doesn't want to let someone **** it up. But he's completely anonymous... Its not like anyone would would attach it to him anyway.

Then again there's always the chance that he's not bullshitting.

I agree, if you understand satire as well as they must, then you also understand that you are going to hear from humorless assholes. Kinda similar to this place. I would actually think that maybe once a week you would order pizza and laugh over the most ridiculous comments received that week.

If nothing else, pay someone $8 an hour to go through them for you.

My friend is getting towards the end of med school and is talking about how burnt out on the labs and all that he is. I asked him why not switch it up?
