I had a friend who thought it was funny to sic them on people when I was young. I discovered if while it was clamped down on your arm, 2 things would happen.
1) Your blood would eventually choke it.

2) Be calm....use your foot to step on it's throat and then punch it in the ear as hard as you can...it will then open it's mouth. At that time jab your fingers in it's throat at hard as you can. Next, the dog will begin to vomit. Next time you encounter the dog, it will hide.

My friend's dog got his brothers hat and his brother needed it for work. The dog kept growling at snapping at anyone who tried to get the hat. My friend reached under the bed and the dog bit him. He grabbed the dog and jerked him out from under the bed and got the hat. The dog bit him again. Mistake. He kicked the dog against the wall and then picked him up, choked him, and held him against the wall. The dog was bleeding out its butt and from the mouth.

It is about a 35 pound dog that was never aggressive before. Some mutt. Now when my friend even acts like he is going to do something the dog will sometimes just start peeing.ahhaha

I have been around several pits and never had one get aggressive. I'm much more of a lab type guy.

i think a person would hide in that situation.

i'm not a fan of them either.

I love pits, I have owned three and they were all very passive and great dogs. I never had one of mine snap but with all the reports I don't think I would be comfortable about having one around kids.

they are nicknamed the nanny dog for a reason. i have no problem letting my son be alone with my staffie. if you have ever had or seen one that is agressive towards people, it was either made to be like that by the owner, or a poor bloodline. the breed was bred to be agressive toward other animals but not people, specificly deisnged to be put in a pit with a bull and have them fight to the death.

how can you handle a dog that is agressive towards people in a ring? thats dangerous to everyone involved.
