We need a forum that combines the best of what SIN and SSA were back in '03-'05, and CT, with the technical background of a place like ECA or DIYAudio.

It's been so long since I went there that I never realized ECA was gone.

I plan on going for my masters...but still, there's shit here for jobs..and we're not ready to move out of state yet.

Yeah I know. I'm going to seriously consider either applying for, or taking some civil service tests. A lot of them around here have decent starting pay- even a lot of the trainee positions start in the 40's, which isn't all that bad for now.

Maybe local/state govt. Federal jobs...hard to say


It may be easier to land those jobs from your school's placement office. That is how I have this one.

Yeah I browsed local/state jobs and there were a decent amount. Most had decent starting salaries.

I'm also going to look into visiting my school's career center.

Another option is trying to get an internship with the Islanders. A family friend's friend works for them and said he could possibly get me an internship there. May go that route.
