Haven't been hurt by a hurricane yet. Tampa doesn't get them often and never really big ones. Last year the area in IL and indiana along the calumet river was affected by a hurrican worse than I have ever been. It moved all the way up to that area following massive rainstorms and compounded flooding that turned into a nightmare for many people.

Well shit I guess I'll stick to the Twin Cities. All I have to do is avoid driving on bridges.

i wouldn't want to live in NYC. Nashville is too big for me.

People outside of NY think it is, but no one in NY considers it NYC.

Lol, by definition, NYC is all 5 boroughs, but many only consider Manhattan to be the NYC that everyone pictures. I doubt anyone would want to vacation to Brooklyn or the Bronx.

I moved from Boston to Western MA because of the cost of houses in the city. A condo I paid $134k for about 60 miles from Boston would cost me about $850k in the city or about $350k in the metro Boston area.
Also Northern CT is pretty cheap, I can also get to Hartford or Providence in 45 minutes or Boston if I had to in a little over an hour if I was forced to for a job.

Only thing is getting used to all the hicks and Nascar fans, I am on year three out here and still not quite used to it.

I've been to the Boston area 3 times, and am going back in a couple weeks, got a few games in the Boston area that I'm playing. Love Boston and the surrounding area we've stayed in. The g/f wants to move to MA and wants absolutely nothing to do with PA, but I like PA and the cost of living isn't bad at all in a lot of areas.

Moving here to TN might let me miss some of that this year, but who knows.

They just miss us or we get the tail end of them. Four years ago we had four go right through the state and right over us.

We don't get all that much here. Last year we barely got any.

We get 5inches per year.
What is odd is that we will get a 75* day in January followed by a 22* day.
