This thread makes me appreciate my annoyingly caring parents. My mom calls me all the time and I really have nothing to say. Me and my father talk hunting a fair amount though.
I go home and I will catch my mom just sitting there staring at me..lol..She begs me to call her.
My dad never got interested in anything I did. I was into sports and he never took me to a game. He used to get tickets to the auto show and you would think he would take his only son as that seems like a father/son activity, but he took his daughter instead.

My parents wanted me out before I even hit 18. I left.

During my stay at ASU, the whole roommates and stolen goods thing happened. I think some of you know the story.

I moved back to Benton, my parents had already moved off to Dallas, and attempted to get a job that payed over $10/hr. My attempts failed to find anything that was decent pay and not paving roads or digging ditches. After being very depressed and living on someones couch for a month I maned up and made the call.

They offered for me to move there and get my feet planted. Im sure they are ready for me to move on or move out, but at the same time they ask me not to. They say they like having the large house and the money I pay.

Now that my grandparents are going to a retirement community in Tulsa and my parents themselves are ready to retire, they are hinting for me to move on. I will as soon as possible, but with the fines and such I have coming with this court case I have drained about 25% of my investments that were to be used to buy a house.

It seems that I get to take a step forward in life and there is something that knocks me 5 steps back.

Chris, I know exactly what you are going through...after 6 years my father and I have just now patched up a relationship based on silence.

I ordered a Seagate but it was out of stock. I'm currently running a Western Digital 5400 RPM 8 MB cache 160 GB. after formating and running Vista and installing my programs, I have 108 gigs free. I have over 90 gigs of music and video I want to carry on my laptop.

My parents have really screwed it up with my sister. They drove her to tears on her wedding day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

If you don't mind me asking..How is the court case going? You fighting it or what? And what kind of price are you looking at in the end?

My mom passed away at 14 and my dad was never really a good dad. I strolled out before 18 too and haven't looked back.
