I alid tiles throughout my first home and will never do it again.

I watched the guy lay tile in my parents house. He's been doing custom tile for 20+ years and I will never ever lay tile after watching how hard that man had to work.

Not tile but laminate flooring. It supposed to snap or push together. I am debating on whether to do it myself or pay. If I pay, it will take a day and then I won't have to worry about it. I guess I need to get an estimate on how much the labor is. The materials are ~$4/sqft

my mother did hers herself, just in her room, for the rest of her house she paid.

It would depend on the size of the room. She did her room cuz it was easy to move a bed dresser nightable etc... But moving a whole house full of furniture.... she would rather pay. It turned out fine. It wasnt easy, but it wasnt too terribly hard.

I must be the only one that was not completely shocked. He always came off as being very cocky and everyone remarked about how confident they thought he was but i knew better, thought they did too.

Hope he found the peace he needed. Bothers me to know some will go on about how 'selfish' he is and criticize him... entirely missing the point and perhaps the message.

When people say that he was selfish. It's pretty **** selfish itself just to look at how his absence will effect their lives now. Apparently, they never once thought about how the guy felt.

It is somewhat selfish, because some people leave their kids behind, or a wife, or significant other. Many times they leave parents. They leave family and friends and because they have a shitty day, week, month, whatever they end their life? It's called joining a program, talking to someone, getting help. People just don't think. It sucks what happened, but they did it to themselves and it could have more than likely been prevented.

She probly would have, granted it was cheaper. I dont remember how much she said it cost to do her room or how much she paid to have the house done.
