I use olive oil. Peanut oil tastes like shit and i didnt notice it was peanut oil until it was too late. I thought it was vegatable oil, was gonna use that since im out of olive. ****
Veg oil has no flavor at all, I hate it.
Lawlz. Zero cigs. I had one when I got back and I thought my lungs were going to catch on fire.
Took be about an hour before I felt somewhat 'normal' again.

The cigs are on their last leg too, BTW.

I wish my running shoes would come in the mail. The ones I'm using now are sucky and I know they are impeding on my poor feets.
quittin dem cigs will be good. I still need a few when I am drinking heavy. I don't know if I will get over that. It's too easy to do stupid shit when you're drunk.

the point of the oil is to cook the food not flavor it.
Not if you like the flavor it adds. Olive oil adds the best touch to all kinds of food. Maybe your mantra holds true for the french fry eaters of the world, but I like variety and varying flavors. I use veg oil for BS things, but is my least liked or used oil.

I suppose propane is better than charcoal because the grill should cook it, not flavor it?

I use propane. I figure the seasonings i use should give it flavor not the charcoal //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

yeah but for this you dont need the flavor, but it definitely makes a difference when you use olive oil. but i was out, and id much rather have the cooking oil just to add moisture to the pasta, than have the taste of this nasty *** peanut oil.

well for the pasta i was making it does make a difference. but liek i said above i jsut needed it to cook in since there was no olive oil. peanut oil was not the way to go for sure.

I'm assuming you are making some sort of special pasta? I have never fried pasta, I just boil it untill its tender then drain it and add sauce.

Oh, I'd never use peanut on pasta. Olive or veg. I can agree in this scenario.

If I season then I don't use a flavorful cooking method. It is dependent on dish. Your statement was too general for my liking. I use a propane, but occasionally I won't season and instead I will add mesquite briquettes in the grill for flavor instead.
