Actually it is. Theft is now something very real for me. And the only way I can ensure I don't get stuff stolen again is to not have anything.
But the big fear about returning is the theives break in thinking I may have replaced the equipment. I am thinking about replacing the audio once I don't have to go there anymore.

I actually feel a little sorry and at the same time a little jealous of you man. Not trying to be a dick but it seems you have been somewhat sheltered.

Even if you dont have anything you still cant ensure that you wont be jacked. You cant ensure you wont be killed tomorrow. You cant be prepared for everything even though you can try.

I have been jacked more times than I can count so maybe its just part of life for me. I would never choose fear over something I enjoy.

I wouldnt consider that life changing either to be honest. Life changing to me is moving, changing jobs, loved ones dying things of that nature. Things that change everything around you. Stuff can be replaced.

I spent probably $50 in gas tuning...I have no idea how many hours that is...just a good estimate of gas money idling while tuning. It took me 4 months to get it to sound the way I want and then some jackass rips it out....who has no appreciation for what I put into it.
I know I won't put as much effort into the rebuild for that very reason. Plus, these podcasts I downloaded aren't too bad.

Same thing happened to me. I had just finished tuning up my box (it had a few tiny holes in it, got a better wire connector setup), made an amp/crossover rack, and rewired the entire setup. Took a whole weekend.

What happens on Sunday night when i work (closing shift)? Everything gets ****ing stolen.
