Chances are, that's probably not the only thing messing up your computer though. Might still want to post the Hijackthis log somewhere.

another thing I do is go through the system32 folder - sort by date, and check the filenames of each thing in there that was created on or after the date that you noticed the problem. And maybe even up to a week before.
