He knew the law which is why it took\is taking him so long to get his roomate out. But in that case hoss was the landlord, the roomate was a tenant, laws are different. If you wanted to look at it that way, you are the tenant and your gf is the landlord. since you said its her place.

Well the loan could be just in your name even though the house is in both or your names. That would work out very nicely for her I think.
