When you leave Nashville, you enter nothing....

It goes like this

city then 10 miles then a suburb then 20 miles then farms.

Like I am trying to tell you, around here, people do not want to be close to the city. The suburbs are insulated from the city by these buffer zones on purpose.

For instance...all the major cities surrounding Nashville are about 30 miles away. These cities are all suburbs of Nashville.

That is totally different then here. It is just one city after another for a good 20-30 miles. Perhaps this is why they made the movie 8 Mile?

Valdosta is the big city here, the the suburbs of it would be Dasher, Lake Park, Quitman, Adel, Nashville, Lakeland, Ray City...

Chicago had many burbs though. Towns outside city limits that were still patroled by Chicago PD.

we got I-75, and some state hwys like Hwy 84 wich iirc runs parrallel with I-10 and goes from here all the way to San Diego.

You may enter another city "technically"...but everything is on a single strip.
Plus, the interstate is of great great importance here. If you want to go anywhere, you take the interstate.

We really don't have just one major freeway, there is 75, 94, 96, 275, 696, Lodge, Southfield, 375. If you want to get from one end of the area to another you take the freeway, but other then that you are better off on the main roads.
