no, there's city limits.

Just like our police dept. In the city is VPD's jurisdiction. In the county is Lowndes County Sheriffs dept jurisdiction, they can't do much within the city limits & vice versa, that's VPD's job. GSP can go anywhere though. But they all hang out together.

There's also Remerton's cops, but they can only get you in Remerton which is like 1 mile wide inside of Valdosta.

I live right outside of the city limits.

that's true until you start talking about taxes, and laws, schools, ect..

since I live outside the city limits(county) I don't get taxed like the people in the city do, I have more lenient laws, and I had to goto the county high school.

But in between the cities are "buffer zones" if you will. We do not have a fire department, well we have a volunteer fire department. We do not have city police, we have county police. We do not have trash pickup, we have a landfill.

I live outside the city limits by maybe 100 foot. That means we go to different schools, served by different politicians, receive different services than the people 1 street over.

You guys are weird. Metro Detroit has 3 counties, and inside the counties all the cities border each other. There are no buffer zones. The city of Detroit has its very own tax for anybody who lives in the city limits or works in the city limits.

Detroit is basically one big cluster**** of suburbs. The suburbs sprawl in all directions for about 20-30 miles.

Everyone within seeing distance has a car in the yard that doesn't run....yet.

Later I'll get pics of the junkyard next door, literely next door! The guy refuses to clean it up, we tried to report him, but since we're in the 'county' he can do as he please with his yard.

That is just weird. As soon as you leave Detroit you are in a suburb. Hell there are suburb right inside the middle of Detroit.
