Well it doesn't seem as though this Mag is going anywhere anyway so keep it on the back burner. I refuse to go lower than 230 shipped. It is worth more as a pretty paperweight to me. I didn't think I would go that low. It really should be the last sub i should buy, but I can't sit still. It is that good. I plan to nab the new gen. I fear it won't stack up in performance though. I like the other aspects of it, but it better sound the same. I trust Nick will do his best to make it the Mag sound, but have doubts still. If you just want to try it then maybe we can work out something if this doesn't sell within a week. I have already pretty much decided to store it. So if it comes to it maybe we can work out where you pay shipping both ways to give it a whirl for a pre-determined amount of time. If I am not using it than a crunkster might as well demo it.

Don't like how you need an additional piece to unlock all the goodies. **** that. The 9835 had just what you needed out of the box for a basic DD setup. 9887 can lick my balls. After I got used to the navigation and went to using the aux input for my ipod instead of the 420 I was happier than a pig in shit.
What do you mean? The imprint is basically like an RTA that auto sets your deck. You can still use the TA, EQ, Xover etc.
I think I'm going to draw all my money out of my bank account in case home boy tries to file a paypal claim.
I am gonna dabble and play with active in my daily work commuter. Which is why I want a good deck with processing. I contemplated an add on processor but I have always built my setups with the KISS approach and a deck with some ample processing fits that bill. Everything right there at the drivers seat on the fly.
Any suggestions with how I should handle this situation? The package is insured and I told him the one mounting foot was bent. I think he is over blowing it by saying it was smashed.
OH? I thought you needed imprint for all the goodies. What options are there for processing then? I haven't really read up on it. I may have to throw it in the mix of acceptable units then. I thought Alpine was steering away from decks with all the bells and whistles.

It's pretty much the 9835. 5 band PEQ, 3-way x-over, Time alignment. Also has a 7 band graphic EQ. The x-over is nice because you can adjust each side separately. It's not F-R-L, It's front left, right left, etc. It also uses the KCA-422i which is a much better ipod interface then the KCA-420i.

He also has my phone number. i don't why he never called. Judging by how pissed he was in the pm, you'd think he'd call especially since he received it two days ago.
The front end though (display and nav) sucks though, doesn't it? I didn't have a problem with the speed of the connection, it was the nav and search functions I hated. Using the Ipod itself for nav was just way more simple and easy. I contemplated a x001 becauseof this but it has no processing.
