no I don't tell my parents anything. It's a "need to know basis," kind of thing. I never ever ever EVERRRRRRRR tell my parents about my dating life. Horrible call, they ask way to many questions, specifically my mother. I learned long ago that bringing a girl over for them to meet = them asking 20 questions every time I see them.

flip, I could understand it if the uncle / friend asked you about:

c. your personal finances
