True. Your industrial state is unique in that the materials needed for these industries are transported within the state from the great lakes. CA is a different beast. It's "industry" comprises of goods coming in from other countries to be distributed. Hence why local in CA isn't as beneficial.

daytona seriously blows. 99% of chicks here are addicted to drugs, have alcohol problems, std's and are stupid.

and the other 1% have boyfriends.

and daytona is only fun 3 weekends out of the year.

thats the plan pretty much.

and when i get back, ask one of my good friends step dad to send me to orlando to take the 3 day insurance courses all expenses paid and go to work for his insurance company.

which im gunna do once i get my degree anyways.

EDIT: i have good practice from highschool anyways. it was recommended i leave after junior year

This was my general impression of Florida so my statement still stands.

You also have places like Lear who make parts for the big 3, so you need to transport the steel to Lear, and then transport it to the big 3. I would love to be able just to drive in Michigan. It is less money however.

Not even just MI. You can make a living just driving around the lake michigan coast(IL,IN,MI). Lear has seat manufacturing in Hammond IN. You actually are poised for greater opportunity in your region by being both cross country and local flexible. It's not a bad place to homestead as a flexible owner/operator.
