OP
Sounds like the EXACT same problem Noah's having with his Mean Green alt...i installed my battery and alternator...
the battery is great, everything is hooked up correctly
however the alternator is not being friendly. i get 12v with the car on, meaning the alt isn't charging anything. i went over it three times over two hours, then decided that i'd wait until today and take it out to auto zone to get it tested.
wtf?
maybe the old alternator was externally regulated, and something wrong happens when i try to put my stock external regulator on the excessiveamperage alternator.
idk!

Definately a MUST DO...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifnaw. the alternator was stubborn to come out, but i just wasn't prying enough, and i was scared.
PLEASE, if you ever do this, make sure you disconnect the battery first... i ate a hole through the old alternator by arcing the lines //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif blue sparks galore!
i would almost think that would be common sense.naw. the alternator was stubborn to come out, but i just wasn't prying enough, and i was scared.
