**** i literally had to bump this thread because it was like 3 pages back, whats going on fellas.

I ran into a problem today i was trying to take out my drain polug for my differential and it was already a bit stripped and im having a hard time getting it out. So im thinking about somehow welding the extension i bought to the plug and putting the wrench and turn. i have no welding tools availble right now and i doubt solder will hold a tight enough bond for me to crank the bolt off.

Whats you guys suggestions?

I just drenched the plug with some PB blaster hopefully that will help some i will let that sit on there for like 24hrs

is it a regular bolt? I have some stripped bolt removers.... Have you tried an impact on it?

i have yet to use an impact or vice grip, its actually a round metal plug with a square head inside, i tried using the wrench head cause thats what i remember using back in the day to remove the plug

We have a small mig setup, I'd take you over to the TIG setup, but I've borrowed that man's garage more than enough lately.
