Crunk Flammable Jello Times

Along the line of the magnet idea though, they'd need to be strong enough to hold the grill but not too strong to eff with the electronics.

You could just as easily though do what the new Dayton Cabinets do with the speaker grills....

Make a thin MDF frame rounded over on all sides, and countersink some magnets in the rear side, then wrap in grille cloth. Then countersink some small metal slugs in the stock trim panel, and voila... removeable "grille" for your double din.
