i wish gmail supported push email //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

it does.

What's push email?
nG
When your phone receives email like an SMS message, when you get an email it will wake your phone up to receive it. where as on a windows phone(older os) the phone has to check for email in time incriminates instead of just pushing the email to the phone right away.

care to inform me about this gmail push? i cant seem to find anything about it except a world full of people complaining about googles lack of push content... and dont tell me that it supports push by forwarding your mail to yahoo //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

so that it would push to my phone instantly instead of relying on my phone to retrieve it every 15 minutes...
That is silly...

If you use Outlook or most business Email Clients you don't mind a 15 minute lag in your emails. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Does you phone have a problem retrieving the emails? Mine doesn't....

i dont use outlook, or a business email client //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif . and i mind the lag lol.

my phone doesnt have any problem retrieving them, but its just more consistent and uses less of the battery with a push server.

AOhelL pushes fine. I do not think it is the email client though since the wireless server 'pulls' anyway. Both my Yahoo and AOL are 'pushed' to my phone, but through no settings of them at all. Everything is setup through my crackberry.
on a BB, everything is pushed through the BIS //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

they have their own proprietary server that does all of their stuff. yahoo has its own support for push, i dont know about aol though.
