We are looking at taking a full 7 day cruise, mid December, around the 17th I believe. I can't figure which would be best, and really its based on attractions OTHER THAN snorkeling and all that. In town, markets, bars (if drinking age is 18) and just fun things to do.

One goes from Miami, Florida to Riviera Maya, Mexico to Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands to Ocho Rios, Jamaica and back to Miami, Florida

The other one goes from Miami, Florida to Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands to Roatan City, Honduras to Belize City, Belize to Riviera Maya, Mexico and back to Miami, Florida

The price doesn't make the choice as it's only 30 bucks different. Im just wondering what has more to offer FUN wise, and site wise. I know that honduras has the second largest barrier reef in Roatan City, so thats why I know which would obviously have the bst ocean life.

Has anyone been to these places? What do you think of them? What all did you guys do? I think a trip to honduras and belize is a once and a lifetime deal with friends.

My only problem is that the one to honduras and belize is 5 days too soon, maybe we can make a deal with our teachers for early exams, but who knows.

when i was in 8th grade, my friend took me on a cruise for his birthday, all expenses paid. we went from miami, to puerto rico, to st. thomas, to st maarten, then back to miami. whichever one you choose it is guaranteed to be awesome so i would just go with the one that fits your schedule best.

I went on a 3 day cruis to the bahamas. It was a blast if you get a chance get a diving certification snorkeling is kool but we gotta go on this bad *** diving charter and it was cheap as hell. The dive masters were these rastafarian guys and it was pretty cool. On the ship the drinking age is 21 but as soon as you get to port like in mexico and shit its gonne be like 18 or so. I was 17 and got hammerd at senior frogs then bought enough liquor from this ghetto *** bahama store to make it through the rest of the trip. BEfore the trip ou can get those plastic 1.75Lt bottles of smirnoff vodka. Then no worries about being 21. THe best part though s there is food being served 24/7 no mater what the will be soem kinda buffet or something open. It is a real good time man, good luck with your trip.

I would go with the first choice. I have been to a couple of those places and had fun. Just one thing to look for is the time of day the ship will be at each of these places. Sometimes they get there early in the morning and leave at like 4pm. You want at least one stop to stay late into the night so you can visit some of the night time hotspots on the islands. Oh and one more thing I can tell you. I have been on many cruises and its really not all that important where you go cause there is so much fun to be had on the ship. I honestly wouldnt mind taking a cruise that didnt go anywhere!!

i did that one in may except labadee instead of rivera maya... went with royal caribbean... it was a blast... rented waverunners, drinking, sightseeing, drinking, waterfalls... it was kool

and they will let you drink on the boat if ur 18 if you have parental permission... but u dont want to... it was like $7-10 a drink on the boat... just drink at the places u get off (they sell beers on the street for like $.75 in jamaica and mexico) and liquor is dirt cheap there too

since when? this will be my 13th time on a cruise. Not once would they let someone under 21 drink. Hell there's a sign in the bars that specifically states you must be 21 or older to consume alcohol. Their US ships. (most but not all. some are owned by Nassau)

I was on a RC boat back in February. They would let you drink at 18 if you had permission from a parent. I guess it's something they sign when you get on the boat. You had to wait until you were out of the US, though.
