No, it's not my amp. I tried the website and couldn't get the manual to open on my computer.

can't you use the equation for power and get it in the ballpark? Figuring about 1000watts with 60% efficiency.

My BMF 1000d takes a 100 amp fuse.

My friend has this amp installed in his truck and he told the fuse popped yesterday, he said it has an 80 amp fuse and he also is power wire had melted. I was wondering what would cause his power wire to melt?

my xp1400 did not have external fuses, my understanding is the xp series is not fused externally

there is probably a short somewhere. He might need to look into that first. Melted wires is a result of over current and with a 1000watts amp and 4awg wire, that usually shouldn't happen in a class D amp. Might happen in a current hogging class AB though

if it is like the older crossfire amps it will do about 1300 rms. you need 0 gauge power & ground & ext. batt. to properly support that amp. & yes 100 amp anl is better.
