Crossfire 1400 XP

hey guys, i am not sure if this is a repost, but does anyone know the specs for the crossfire 1400 XP? is this amp under or over rated?....crossfire website doesn't display the amp n google isn't much help either.

I am deciding to between this and a soundstream 2000d

I just sold this amplifier on here recently and and it is underated and a very small footprint for the power it puts out and I would say yes crossfire over soundstream.

Well the Crossfire is rated 1700@ 1ohm and the sounstream 2000 @ 1 ohm. I haven't used either but depending on the wattage you need I'd say you go with the one you can get a better deal on.

I do believe the crossfires have been clamped at about 1800 watts and are only about 14 inches long and 10 inches wide I have never seen amp so small be that powerful.

if it is anything like the vr's don't get it. the soundstream will be more dependable. i have not had any dealing with the xp line but, i am very familiar with the vr's because i was a dealer. the vr's were very undependable.

I hear different opinions about Crossfire from different dealers. I have one dealer who swears by the VR line of Crossfire. However, this same dealer no longer carries Crossfire either. With the XP line, I have heard nothing but positive things. I bought the XP 1400D from gymfreak and the amp is really really small but looks very impressive. Will decided between Crossfire and Treo by the end of this weekend.

i have heard good things about the xp line, but other dealers in the area have also dropped the line because of problems with the vr amps. i always liked the subs though. when crossfire made the cfa models they were just about bulletproof. rocksolid.

well i have had about every line of crossfire amps and have liked them all. havent yet had the xp's but have the 6004 coming. i never a problem with my vr's either. but of all the lines i have used cfa's are my favorite.
