If you haven't taken a look recently, look at our dealer list. It's been heavily updated, and being updated now on a weekly basis (you can thank Brittany for taking the reins on that one!).
If a dealer claims to be authorized, but they're not on our dealer list, then they're not authorized. Period. If they have a problem with that, they should take it up with us directly; who knows, maybe they just were authorized and we haven't updated the website in the last day. But if they don't appear on the list, they're not authorized.
Note that it takes more than just registering and requesting pricing from us to be authorized. You're not really authorized until you've placed an order. In other words, those on the list have been screened as actual, functioning, real-world stores with real people, and have placed some sort of purchase order with us, so they will actually have Adire Audio product.
If someone claims they're a dealer, and happen to have the price list, but have not placed a purchase order then they're not authorized. Simple as that. We want to make sure that only those who are real companies, with an actual address you can walk up to and talk with a real person, and real enough to actually commit to a purchase without trying to get customers to fund it up front (hey, buy from me, I'll get a big order together and then give everyone a good discount!) are authorized dealers.
For Internet-only dealers, it's as Marshall listed; Internet-only can be a VERY shady thing, but Marshall, Josh, and Kyle have proven to be simply top-notch people of knowledge, service, and integrity, and I consider them as reliable as if dealing directly with Adire. Heck, this forum exists because of those 3.
Bottom line: if there's a dealer in your area, go visit them. If you have a problem with them, let us know immediately and we'll deal with it. Support your local dealer, because - like it or not - the success or failure of Car Audio rests on the shoulders of the independent local dealer.
