Credit Scores

i have 2 credit cards... limits are likem 1800 and 1300... i only use them when i kno i have money. and i dont let them charge inttrest.. i pay that whole amount off for that month...hopefully this helps me build credit..

My score was around 761 I think back in the fall, then I had to use my credit cards a lot for my car. =/

Not sure what it is now, I've made all my payments (generally 2x the minimum) on time (in advance actually) but my balance has been up around like 1200-1300 out of 1600 limit for 3 cards.

My credit took a nosedive about 5 years ago when I got divorced. 2 repossed vehicles, a ton of credit cards, etc. I had judgements and everything. Never did a **** thing about it, either. Credit companies harassed me so much, I said F' em, and changed my number. Then about 3 months ago, out of curiousity, I went on freecreditreport.com, paid the monies, and saw all my credit reports. It wasnt pretty, I promise you.

I went straight down the line and disputed everything, top to bottom. On the reason, there was a check box for "ex-spouse's debt". Checked them all. Within 48 hours every one of them was removed!! I applied online for a credit card and got it same day. Made one payment on the card, and I got an email from FCR.com, telling me a change was made to my report. I clicked on the link, and it showed my score at 740. Totally blew me away. Couple more months and I'll get a new car, I think. True story.

well lets all be good consumer/debtors now so our BS number goes up lol

Want to hear a mind blower....this is weird crazy chit right here....ready....I have more then 3 cars, a litre bike and a few other nice things...and...my...credit score...SUCKS... how you ask... I BUY THINGS I CAN AFFORD, if I cant buy it I dont, I own all my chit, not the bank.

whenever I see some "thug life" wanabee working at best buy driving a esclade with "bling" I thank them for the economy, and ask when they are going to get kicked out of there house by the bank lol

Yea, sucks doesn't it? But it makes sense, because a credit score doesn't really reflect how well you do with your cash and what you own, it's what you do with your debt and what you don't own.

I've been running every possible expense through either my AMEX or WorldPerks cards for years. I don't pay interest because I don't buy things I cannot afford to pay off in the next 21 days. Plus, CC companies are happy to give you all kinds of airline miles and perks for doing so. They must hate me because I never pay them more than the yearly enrollment fee. I'm happy to be a credit company parasite and my FICO score reflects that. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You're probably about 12 years old, and the only cars you own are hot wheels.

Your post is probably 100% bullshit

I'm 18 and (I assume) have no credit. Never had a credit card, or even a debit card up until a few months ago. How would I go about building my credit if I have nothing to start with?

Sorry, I didn't notice you are from Detroit, I guess nobody in that chit hole has any money,

so I understand where your utter amazement comes from that some people don't need a credit card or a bank load to buy groceries!

And judging from this post of yours

How much federal do you get back? I make about 9k and I'm getting shit back from federal. Like $280 or something out of $640 withheld. (19 and dependent)
It looks like your the kid; and with that "income" (if you can call it that) your probably the one with the hot wheels...livin' in the ghetto!
