american express is out. i'm not sure if any credit card company is in good shape. maybe visa.

Visa is not actually a credit card company, it's an electronic payment & processing network.

When a company offers a "Visa" card, it means that card uses the Visa payment and processing network.

you still have to pay interest. it doesn't keep adding to itself every month though if you pay it off.

A credit card company unfortunatly has the right to change your rate at any time without you knowing because it is unregulated. If you pay what you spend every month there is no interest to pay... If you carry a balance over to the next month is how the cc company makes there month and usually slap 18%.

CC company's do not punish the people who make there payment in full, that means if you spent $100 this month and you send the CC compant $100 you pay no interest. If you only pay $85 then they will take the reamining $15 and add 18% and carry it over to the next month.

just be careful not to over extend yourself. credit card companies are going to fall, just as the banks did.

That works out well for me. I guess I shall continue my hunt for a credit card.

Banks didnt fall because of CC Directly they fell because people were buying bigger houses than they could afford.

If you pay off the card each month you don't have to worry about your interest rate. That's why I chose to get a card with rewards and all that other stuff because I just pay it off every month and get rewards for it. I have one of those amazon.com visa credit cards and I love it.

get the blue discover card...forget what its called (1500 limit)

get the MTVu VISA card (Provided that you are in college) (4k limit)

Just pay it off TOTALLY every month...interest WILL tear that *** up if you let it!

With no credit, I've got a bank of america cc w/ no interest for 1 year and a $600 limit and a citi student card with no interest for 6 months and a 500 limit. I'd try one of those.
