I have a visa through my bank(wachovia) and being able to transfer $$.$$ whenever I feel like it is awesome. I am yet to have an issue and they started me out with a $2k credit line and $1k cash equivalent

yeh online banking is awesome. i usualy pay off my cc like every 2 weeks or so. jsut did it an hour ago actually. and u can go ahead and transfer it before u use it also. like having credit on ur credit card. and then use it like a debit card i guess. and i get points and then cash them in for gift cards. comes out to like $100 in gift cards a yr

If you pay off the card each month you don't have to worry about your interest rate. That's why I chose to get a card with rewards and all that other stuff because I just pay it off every month and get rewards for it. I have one of those amazon.com visa credit cards and I love it.

I actually just applied for my first vredit card, went with the mtvU student card from Citi, $1,200 credit line, no interest for 6 months, rewards, etc.

I'm excited.

College students can generally get a card pretty easily - that is when I got my first card. Started with a 1k limit and they quickly bumped it up to 4k - also has dropped to 5.9% interest over the years.

Start off with a cheap Crapital One card. You'll have an annual fee for the privilege, but you need to build credik, so you gotta take what you can get.
