I want more bass.

I've had these kenwoods a year almost.

do i need a new amp or subs for more bass

subs are kenwood w3011s

amp is kenwood 9103D

susb are rated at 400W RMS a piece

amp is rated at 500W RMS X 1 at 4 ohms

900W RMS X 1 at 2 ohms

1800W RMS X 1 at 1 ohm

you need new subs that can handle more power, preferably a type r or Re SE for a budget price. Your amp will power them great

and that amp is rated at 1800 max. it says 1 ohm stable but does not give a power rating.

i know. but im assumin its 1800. most amps i've looked at when they give the power for 1 ohm, they give the peak power. i doubt it's 1800W RMS at 1 ohm.

find you a set of subs that will handle the rms @ 2 ohm of your amp, i wouldn't try it @ 1 ohm, imo.

alright well i was just letting you know because i have that amp and don't think it even puts out the 900 watts at 2 ohm its rated. i would not even run it at 1 ohm.

ya man id probably do what hes suggesting. but anyways are your subs in a ported box? if not you could put them in a ported box and see what if ya like the results.
