Ok, well i ordered an eD 16KV.2 but in the mean time i built a 2.9 cuft box tuned to around 28 hz. So to have a little bass in my truck til the eD arrives i put a technics house woofer rated at like 150 watts in the custom box i built. I wasnt expecting much but i was really surprised. The bass wasnt to loud but it was louder the farther you got away from my truck. I found out it was loud far away because when i was tunning my system in in my back yard a person from 3 houses down made a complaint. So i guess im wonderin why is it louder far away from my vehicle. I was thinkin cause i have it tuned so low but not sure thats the whole case. Oh yeah and im giving this house speaker about 250 watts rms.

Bass is like a whip. IIRC, a 35 hz wave is like 15 feet long. So at 15 feet, a 35hz sine wave is loudest. Home woofer use this to their advantage because rooms are a lot larger than vehicle cabins. I don't know the specifics of it, but the results *should* change a little after your new sub comes in.

Also, good job on getting it to carry that far. =)

Actually, about 32 feet long //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

wavelength = 1128 / frequency in Hz

Cabin gain due to the smaller spaces and resonant frequencies of the vehicle play a much greater role in bass response than the seperation between the driver and the listener //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Sorry bout not having pics but i dont have a digital camera yet. So Should the 16KV.2 be alot louder and deeper. Seeing that the house sub has may be 5 millimeters of xmax and has about 1/4 the power handling. Oh yeah this setup is in a Diahatsu Rocky Sx( Just like a Tracker for those who dont know). So there is alot of gain since it is in such a small area. Oh yeah and i guess if you guys wanna know what the box looks like it is 34'' wide 24'' tall 10'' deep with the port on the top 8'' by 31/2'' at around 40 inches of lenghth.
