crappy bass??

I've heard that if you put a pretty large subwoofer box in your boot and it takes up most of the the boot space, the bass is really crappy? Is this true? Lets just say the subs are 10"

it depends on the sub if it is a free air of infinite baffel sub it wont matter how big it is but if it is too small it will sound shit

Free Air subz dont need a box. You can just mount them somewhere.

Infinite baffel is beyond me.. I thought baffles were the seperation things in dual boxes to keep the subs from sharing the same space.
