The L5 appears to be a dual 4 ohm, so you would be better off with an amp that does around 600 rms at 2 ohms, you would wire it in paralell to get a 2 ohm load. I wish i still had my older L7, that was a pretty sweet sub.. Like the older ones better than the newer ones, same as alot of subs.

I vote Type R...they're like 100 and you can probably find a nice 600 watt amp here for 100 also.

Then put it in a nice ported box. If you dont' know how to correctly tune your box and whatnot, read the stickies in the enclosure section of this forum.

I recommend a 2.2-2.5cube box @32-35hz for the type r.

Offer $75 for the amp in that first link. It looks like a Rockford 800.2. Thats a good amp and cheap if you can get it for under $100.
